Corey Lake is located in Three Rivers, Michigan. This is a rural area of farmlands, woods and lakes that is well know to Chicago, Detroit and Northern Indiana people and is populated with many vacation homes. It is easily accessible by interstate highways in the Midwest and served by several airports for those traveling from the rest of the nation.
Typically, athletes living within a 12 hour drive commute on in with parents or other teammates. For parents that wish to stay in the area for the return trip, once athletes are registered for camp, we provide these families with local hotel information and offer some suggestions for Midwest attractions that might be an attractive diversion while waiting out the week.
For those flying into the area:
Airport, Train Station Pick-up/drop-off
The camp staff will be offering rides from the two closest airports and train stations. It is not clear how much capacity will be available, so as always, first come first serve. There will be a charge for each athlete or coach using this transfer service. Sign up and additional information is provided once an athlete is registered for camp.
Please note an important change from previous years… We are not able to offer transfer accommodations from Grand Rapids. Gerald Ford International Airport (GRR) may well be your athlete’s least expensive airfare option, but the transfer has been a major complication for our staff to work out each year. We simply don’t have the staff to accomplish this service safely for the minor aged traveling athlete. If your athlete is traveling with other athletes and an adult that could rent a car, this airport may offer significant savings. If you book through Grand Rapids, please remember that transfer from GRR to and from Three Rivers (Camp Wakeshma) is your responsibility
